Music & Arts Thrive In Saratoga
Saratoga is passionate about the arts.
Montalvo Arts Center is one of the cultural hearts of the community, with an extraordinary variety of art courses, performances, gallery exhibitions, educational opportunities, and a nationally renowned artist-in-residence program.
The Mountain Winery is famous for its legendary outdoor summer concert series, which draws music fans from all over the Bay Area and beyond to one the nation’s most spectacular concert venues, high on a mountain among historic vineyards.
One of Saratoga’s cultural gems and a living work of art is Hakone Estate and Gardens, the oldest Asian garden in the Western Hemisphere. Nestled in the hills above Saratoga Village, Hakone plays host to cultural events including torchlight Noh Play performances, Opera in the Gardens and classes in tea ceremony and fine art.
Saratoga and its surrounding countryside have been a favorite subject of plein air painters for generations. Its galleries and exhibit spaces feature everything from landscape painting to conceptual art and sculpture.
