Villa Montalvo Arboretum (Wilderness trails only): Two miles of beautiful shady canyon trails among oak and redwood forest.
Wildwood Park: Hidden in the heart of Saratoga Village; dogs are welcome on a leash in this beautiful jewelbox park alongside Saratoga Creek. Playground, shady lawns, outdoor stage, huge heritage oaks, eucalyptus and sycamores, restrooms, sand volleyball court and picnic areas make it a great family friendly stop for two-to-four-legged tourists.
Fremont Older Open Space Trails: Great hilltop views of the Valley, and hikes of moderate to higher intensity. Very little shade; be sure to bring water. Parking can be a challenge on the weekend, so be sure to get there early.
